that time i had time for breakfast

as i ate this breakfast the other day, i thought of a few things:
1) bagels are AMAZING. one of the very best breakfast creations.
2) i haven't had a sit down and blog breakfast like this in a reeeally long time. forever.
3) tea with cream really is the best.

I haven't actually had time to enjoy a late, lazy breakfast in months.
it was excellent. i caught up on some of my favorite blogs - which i really needed to do -
and did some productive grown up things like check emails, fill out appplications, etc.
it seems all i ever do is fill out applications.
i desperately want to teach abroad - and i guess that's a long term goal
but even for the short-term, finding a more stable job is quite scary.
right now: all's good.
but i worry about the future (still, i know).

here's to moments of solitude, bagels, and hot cups of steaming tea!
ciao xo

  6. Breakfast really is my favorite meal of the day (after brunch, of course, but what college student has time for that?) It's so nice to wake up 10 minutes earlier and have time to sit and eat a proper meal instead of a granola bar on the way to class. Good luck with all of the application filling-out! As graduation creeps closer, I know that's what I'm going to be devoting my time to.

  7. I can't remember the last time I sat for a breakfast either!
Today, I downed a cup of Pomegranate & skipped out the door.
And THAT is an improvement :)

    Lovely pictures, too!

  8. For no real good reason, I rarely eat bagels. But when I do, I remember how delicious they are. Just toasted with butter...it does not get much better. And I agree with you about tea and cream! Ginger tea and cream is my personal favorite combo. I'm so glad you got to enjoy a nice long sit-down breakfast. Those should happen more often.

  12. Breakfast is such a peaceful meal when you let it be, right? Lately I've been trying to wake up early and get to the gym and that means I only want to grab a cereal bar and go!

Going to e-mail you tomorrow. I swear to God.
