the coffee diaries part II: the green line

Buongiorno a tutti!

So remember when I vowed to search for the perfect latte? The search has started, friends. This cafe was a recommendation of my dad, and I do have to say, it was a good pick. I'm already on a strong footing towards finding the "one" (see this post to get what I mean...). I am thoroughly enjoying this search, perhaps because there is something so right about ducking into cafes every now and then to escape the winter chill.

I found a pretty damn good latte at Green Line Cafe in Center City, Philadelphia. The barista was awesome, he even added a little latte art - do you see?! That made my day. So far in my Philadelphia coffee travels, this latte is at the top of my list. The cafe itself is very minimalist and industrial, with a simple store setup and metal stools/counter tops, but this spectacularly crafted espresso makes up for the rest.

Any recommendations?! If you're in the area, go try it out! And don't be afraid to ask beg  for some latte art.

  1. So wish I could join in but I don't drink coffee :(
MC and I once did a hunt for the best creme brûlée dessert in town - samples 8 different restaurants - it was incredibly yummy!

  2. Haha. I love when they put a little creative spin with the foam. I don't mind begging and tipping them a little more! Worth the "investment". ;)
