snowbirds
This past Saturday morning, I woke up and no one else was awake yet - it was lovely solitude. I was sitting on the couch with Georgia, just thinking about the things I think about, and I peered out the window to see such a beautiful collection of birds feasting near our birdfeeders. I grabbed my camera and ot these shots; they are magnificent as they are, but they looked even more beautiful against the snow that had just fallen the night before.
PS. Don't cardinals and bluejays have the coooolest hairdo's?!

Sweet photos! And yes, the snowy backdrop is awesome!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet. I love watching the birds that come to my mother's house - my favorites are the chickadees and - I kid you not - a little guy called a tufted titmouse :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! I love moments like this when unexpected "photoshoots" happen :)
ReplyDeleteWow, those birds are gorgeous! We do not have those around here (Northern Germany)..
ReplyDeleteI know it is a bit nosey (also since I a newbie to your blog) but where do I have to travel to see those beautiful creatures, please?
Love,
Svenja
